Glamorous Guise
Why! The sun doth shine on such a pretty lady,
Of wondrous hair and skin!
But I wonder, if you knocked on Heavens Gate,
Would they let you in?
What secrets do those bosoms hold?
What lies behind those eyes?
Would we find the truth within,
Which your form denies?
Do those slender, gentle hands
Hide a glamorous gun?
Should we be enticed by those full lips,
Or should we turn and run.

Before Your Time
Dirty brown, let my earth-clod hands take yours,
Grasp me tightly, like winding tendrils on a tree.
Hold on, as I pull you from the dark muddy soil,
Wind your scarred arms with mine, lean on me.
Climb up and out, grab my firmly rooted feet.
Scramble skywards, into my arms open wide.
Shake yourself free of the violent dark  dirt.
Don’t sit in your grave before you’ve died.

A Mother I've Never Known
I’m reaching out into the gap to you,
To the mother I’ve never known.
Love me as you swore you would,
Don’t leave me on my own.
Take me out from the blistering cold
Of being in isolation.
Hold me in your loving arms,
Rescue me from damnation.
You owe me my childhood.
You owe me a living.
I’m giving you this opportunity,
I’m trying to be forgiving.
I’m willing to forget the past,
If you promise to be in my future.
This time we’ll make it last,
If only you would respond.
I’m reaching out into the gap to you,
Wishing for a reply,
But I’m guessing if you had wanted me,
You would’ve never said goodbye.

Flicker in the Dark
Sometimes
When the world is full of darkness
There is a flicker -
A flame.
A flame that could turn into a fire -
In to a blaze -
Into a light.
A firelight that could burn all.
That could eat away the darkness.
That could light the world with flame,
And once gone
Could bathe it in light again.
Could bring it happiness.
You are that flicker,
That flame -
That possibility -
That chance -
That hope -
And you could catch alight,
And eat away my darkness.
Or you might not.
You could be that flame
For me to see.
To give me hope in my darkness,
To hold me through times of trouble,
To guide me through the sea of black,
Until I might find the light myself.

When The Tide Comes In
And when the tide comes in,
It'll come in by itself,
Cos in your heart
There's no room for anyone else.
And when your boat sails,
And mine is left behind,
I wave good-bye
With a closed off heart and mind.

I heard a voice
As soft as butter mellow.
Persuasive and silky,
from the depths
My lover called to me.

Hope
Somewhere, in a castle old,
In a wood, deep and dark,
By a gurgling stream and
a crackling crone,
In a creaking oak as old as time itself,
Lies a glowing bee.
In a creepy, contorted tree,
By a hysterical brook and a
Screeching spinster,
In a wood that howls by night,
In a castle old and crumbly -
the bee is hope,
And if we can find it in a
Tree, castle, brook or crone,
We can find it anywhere.
Anywhere at all.

Gaea's Lament
Gaea's Lament
Lamenting
I'm suffering in long soul shuddering sighs
weeping over all and in my many places.
My breath, now hot and choked by the lies
of children contemptuous to all other races
so that all my others are now left behind
sacrificed to the selfish whims of mankind.
         Listen
Children
Scrambling over my many places in haste
an aggressive child, so empty of real need
wantonly destroys all, creating only waste.
Provided for, yet never enough for their greed
they remain oblivious to the lessons of the past
and I'm weeping so, for they might be my last.
         Silence
Cautions
In my every quaking sobbing shake
I react to all those that have been lost.
Unconcerned, that child refuses to wake
and is negligent towards the ultimate cost.
Obsessed with their domination and wealth
that they callously affect my world my health.
         Hasten
Lamenting
Every breath should be a call to live
where nothi

So I could sing you a song
I wish I were a poet

A song that's written a poem
I wish I were both
So I could sing and write a poetry

Weapon
Words are the expression of an author,
Their soul and mind which pour forth
Onto the page they write upon, yet
They
Hurt, open the wounds that were so
Carefully sewn shut, only to be ripped
Apart at the seams by a single syllable,
Nothing
More than any other syllable, but so
Much more powerful, like the difference
Between a drizzle and a hurricane.
More
Than the steel razor that brings a red calm,
The red-and-white pills that numb fear,
The tight rope that brings the dark peace,
Because
You don’t understand, because your ego
Matters, but our lives don’t, because what
You have done and what you will do you
Can’t
Imagine, you can’t comprehend, you can’t
fathom. Not until you walk in our shoes,
Until words are no longer used as your
Weapon.

Breaking Apart
The silence stretches softly
as you slumber here in my arms
Perhaps you’re dreaming of me
when I hear you sigh
(and it’s the most beautiful sound I will know)
I can’t tell if it’s sorrowful
or if your dream-self is smiling
but as my tears fall upon your head
as I pray that my shaking body doesn’t jostle you awake
(I’m trying to hold still, my dear)
as I quietly gasp for breath
and hold you just a little bit tighter
(Forgive me)
as I ponder upon the loneliness that we both will face
(I’m sorry)
I desperately wish for one more day
(I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry)
to spend with you and your perfect innocence
to hear your laugh one last time
to see the way you look at me
and to see the way you blush
when you catch me admiring your smile
Farewell, my dear
May you find your happiness without me
And may I learn to live without the light you freely gave

but not without haste.
My mind pretends to keep

is covered in the
paste of my past.

Approximately Forever
How long will you be here she whispered one night,
I stared out of the window to the distant moonlight.
Thoughts overtaken by a question now posed,
I held her so close, her eyes tightly closed.
What is a lifetime, how long is a breath,
will it ever be over even as I go to my death.
Then one night she whispered how long will we be here together,
I stared out the window and thoughtfully replied, approximately forever.

Babygirl's song
And babygirl, I still remember the day you left me alone
You broke all your promises, now I don't seem to have a home
I'm still trying to catch the breath that you fucking stole
You left and now I feel empty deep inside my soul
And babygirl, I'll be waiting if you change your mind
You broke all your promises, but I'm still trying to keep mine
I'm still trying to keep our history inside my head
You left and suddenly I feel oh so fucking dead

An Angel Came For Me
Once upon a wicked time
My angel left me in the vain
Decaying every vital sign
As my soul fell for my bane
But then in the vicious dark
A silhouette with stretched out wings
New sparks of life pounce in my heart
While the graceful stranger sings
The carol's lyrics leave me dazed
Idolizing agony
But to not succumb to waste
I ask her if she came for me
Step for step the distance shrinks
Her lips tell me that I'm the one
That she wouldn't mind my kinks
Suddenly, the veil is gone
As I catch a short-lived glimpse
On my new angel in the shades
Seeing carnage on her limbs
All her feathers are just blades

Arms Length
I measure trust by the length of my arm,
Thrust out from danger, safe-guarding from harm
The negative space where love might exist
Twixt palms and breast if I didn’t resist.
I measure love by the empty spaces,
By words I don’t read in hearts and faces;
In the silent distances I can run,
And the things that my gentle heart has done.

Touch me where you want to,
Fuck me til I shake.
I don't care what you do
As long as I'm not awake.

Can I give you a blowjob?
Come on, I'll take you whole.
I don't care what I do,
Just don't wake my soul.

Take me in the bathroom,
Take me there again.
Take me where you want to
There's nothing in my brain.

Push me down, on the floor,
Spread my legs apart.
Press your head to my chest
Hear my beatless  heart.

Throw me out when you're done.
Atone for your cheating crime.
I'll see you later - I'll be back.
I need money for my time.

Honey I need my money,
My money for my drugs.
Then I'll be gone again
To find someone else to fuck.
I’d hold your hand whilst they beat you up,
I’d wipe your tears with my thumb.
And before I departed, back to my future,
I’d say "for Christ’s sake, tell someone".
